Tanzania Youth Health and Development Organization ( TYHDO ) is a youth-led Non-profit organization dedicated to promoting public health through youth-driven Advocacy, research, and community engagement. TYHDO is registered under the Ministry of Gender and Community Development with its headquarters in Dar-es-salaam, Tanzania.
At Tanzania Youth Health and Development Organization, we believe Youth can lead the advocacy in the field of health when equipped with skills, knowledge and space to do so. We stand proudly to empower youth with skills and knowledge to lead Public health advocacy and offer a space for youth to lead the advancement of the health sector and our society at large.

About Us
TYHDO is a community of youth health advocates, health care workers including laboratory scientists, pharmacists, nurses, doctors, and other young leaders from diverse backgrounds, united in our commitment to advancing health education, community engagement, research and advocacy across Tanzania. We believe in the power of youth to drive positive change in health outcomes through collaborative partnerships, innovative programs, and grassroots mobilization. TYHDO is committed to building a healthier, more equitable future for all Tanzanian youth.
Our organization is structured around five key clusters, each addressing critical health issues facing our communities:
Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) and HIV/AIDS:
Ensuring zero new HIV infections and access to comprehensive sexual and reproductive health services and rights
Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs):
Combating neglected diseases and raising awareness to eliminate their burden on vulnerable populations.
Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs):
Promoting prevention, early detection, and management of NCDs such as diabetes, hypertension, and cancer.
Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR):
Addressing the growing threat of antimicrobial resistance through advocacy and education on responsible antibiotic use.
Research and Consultation:
Facilitating youth-led research initiatives and providing platforms for youth voices to inform health policies and programs.

Tanzania Youth Health Forum
Tanzania Youth Health Forum is the largest annual youth health based platform with more than 600 delegates and more than 100 exhibitors. Join us in creating a future where good health and wellbeing is at the forefront through a journey of transforming health outcomes and empowering youth as leaders and changemakers in the Tanzanian health landscape.

Epuka Usugu, Epuka Usumbufu, Fight AMR
Left unchecked, antimicrobial resistance (AMR) will roll back a century of medical progress, damage the environment, interrupt food production, cause more people to fall into extreme poverty and imperil global health security. Furthermore, the World Bank estimates that its impact on economic growth will be greater than that of the 2009 financial crisis, putting at risk up to US$ 100 trillion of economic output by 2050. Tanzania Youth Research Fellowship
Mentorship is an essential component of research capacity building for young researchers in the health sciences to address this TYHF brings to you the Tanzania Youth Research Fellowship program a one year program that provides opportunities for young researchers and scholars to receive mentorship and research training from experts. At TYHDO we understand that women are more vulnerable to most health challenges, Therefore we stand proudly to empower women health advocates and run projects that target girls and women. Our programs around Women and girls include Pad Her, Mlinde Binti wa kimasai and She leads towards zero AIDS by 2030.
